Punch Drunk’s 2015 Monaco Grand Prix Odds | Formula 1 Betting Picks presented by BETDSI

 By Tim Wilkinson

F1 Betting Odds: The Monaco Grand Prix takes place on Sunday, May 24th on NBC with Lewis Hamilton listed as the betting favorite. Hamilton is the odds-on favorite with Nico Rosberg the second choice and Sebastian Vettel the third choice. Those three drivers are the only three to win a race this season in Formula One so it makes sense that the rest of the drivers are listed as part of the field in Formula One odds. Rosberg will be looking to win the Monaco Grand Prix for the third straight year.

Here is a look at the race and F1 picks.

Sebastian Vettel 9-1

Mercedes Domination Continues

It has been all Mercedes this season in Formula One except for one race where Sebastian Vettel pulled out a victory. It had been all Lewis Hamilton for Mercedes until the last race in Spain as Nico Rosberg finally got a win. Rosberg won this race in Monaco a year ago while Hamilton finished second. It has already been a good week for Mercedes as Hamilton signed a new three-year deal for about $150 million. I am more than ever looking forward to this one, I really am,” said Hamilton who won this race in 2008 with McLaren. Hamilton will want to show he is worth his new contract by winning this week but he will have to beat his teammate Rosberg who has won this race the past three years. Only three drivers in history have won at least three Monaco Grand Prix’s in a row. It is hard to make a case for anyone other than Hamilton or Rosberg winning in Monaco but Sebastian Vettel could at least make it interesting if he is able to qualify well.

Race Notes

The Circuit de Monaco is the site for the Monaco Grand Prix that will consist of 78 laps around 19 turns. Nico Rosberg won the race and the pole a year ago while Kimi Raikkonen had the fastest lap. The Monaco GP is the sixth race of the 2015 Formula One season. Track position is everything in this race as the pole sitter has won 10 of the last 11 races including the last six. The last 18 races have been won by a driver starting in the top three. McLaren has the most constructor victories in this race with 15 while Ferrari has eight wins while Lotus has seven.

F1 Picks

I think Hamilton will be out to reestablish his dominance and win this race on Sunday.
