– Luke Rockhold lived up to his prediction of a 1st round stoppage of Michael Bisping in UFC fight night 55 Sydney on Nov.8th, submitting the TUF winner w a crafty one arm Guillotine set up by strikes. Most likely his next fight will be a rematch of a Strikeforce match up against Jacare Souza for number one contendership. Of note, every fight was a stoppage in Sydney, an UFC record.

– OSP stunned the MMA world that same evening in UFC fight night 56, KO’ing Shogun Rua w a left hook in .40 sec in the 1st round. A last minute replacement, OSP raises his LHW stock after getting wrestle fucked by Ryan Bader to UD loss. Expect a top 10 match up for the former Tennessee Volunteer football player moving into 2015.

– Mark Hunt takes on Fabrico Verdum on short notice for the interim HW title since Cain Velasquez pulled out with a shoulder injury. While Verdum is technically a better fighter in almost every aspect of MMA, the one area where Hunt has the advantage is in KO power. If Hunt lands one clean punch, anyone will crumble. Expect fireworks on Saturday night from the underdog Hunt.

– Light Heavyweight contender Anthony Johnson has been reinstated after his domestic abuse case was dropped. His contender match versus Alexander Gusstafason is back on & scheduled for January.
